From the 8th until the 10th of May 2009, the first Benelux Mathmetical Olympiad took place. This is a mathematical olympiad comparable to the IMO for a group of high school students from Belgium, the Netherlands, and Luxembourg.
The programme of BxMO 2009 was as follows.

There will be one 4.5-hour competition, with 4 problems near IMO-level. There will be medals for at most half of the total number of Contestants. The number of gold, silver, and bronze medals will be approximately in the ratio 1:2:3. The exact ratio's will be determined by the Organizing Committee after all results are known. Each Contestant, who has not received a medal, will receive a Honorable Mention if he/she has received seven points for the solution of at least one problem. Furthermore, each Contestant will receive a Certificate of Participation.
You may take only writing and drawing instruments such as pens, pencils, erasers, pencil sharpeners, rulers, protractors and compasses into the contest room. In no case will the use of hand held calculators, cell phones, electronic devices, briefcases, books, notes, tables, papers or any other written material be permitted. In contrast to the IMO, protractors and set squares are allowed.
